Seaside towns get share of £28m Coastal Communities Fund
A multi-million pound package to create jobs and apprenticeships in seaside
towns across the country – including areas affected by the recent floods – has
been announced as part of the UK government’s long-term economic plan to
help boost growth in coastal areas.
Mail Rail plans get the green light
Islington Borough Council has approved plans to open up a section of the old
Post Office Underground Railway – also known as the Mail Rail – as an attraction
for the newly created British Postal Museum & Archives (BPMA).
