Tourist and Information Centre Manager
Salary: £17,716 to £24,263 p.a.

St Albans is situated in Hertfordshire and has a rich and diverse heritage making it a popular place to live and work, with easy access to London (20 minutes by train).
In this post, you will undertake the supervision and support the team based at the Tourist and Information Centre in St Albans, including the organisation of staff rotas. You will ensure that all communication with the general public is dealt with in an effective and efficient manner, provide a high standard of customer service, monitor sales, undertake weekly banking/reconciliations of payments and liaise with local business and social organisations to promote the city and district.
Educated to NVQ Level 4/5, or equivalent, in Tourism Management, you will ideally have a previous background of line management and delivering tourism services.
An excellent communicator, you will possess good customer service skills with the ability to manage the centre and provide an excellent service to the public. You will need to have a flair for the retail process, including an understanding of stock audits, and have knowledge of cashiering and associated administration.
Using your expertise gained within a customer services environment, ideally within a tourism/museum or retail arena, together with excellent organisational and administrative skills, you will be required to manage staff and produce and maintain accurate records.
