Kickz and Community Engagement Worker
Salary: £16,000-£18,500 per annum depending on experience

Stoke City Community Programme is a well established and successful provider of community football, sport and education based projects.
As part of our continued ambitions to develop sporting opportunities for all, we are pleased to announce that we have successfully received a grant to run the Kickz Project.
Main Purpose:
To co-ordinate the Kickz programme working with partners and young people to implement and help enhance delivery of our social inclusion projects.
The Kickz vision is to create safer stronger more respectful communities though the development of young peoples' potential
The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to strategically develop and implement our social inclusion plan through the Kickz programme.
Reporting to the Head of Community, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing all areas of the Kickz programme, as well as working with schools in the locality.
Kickz is a project offering football related opportunities to young people living in socially disadvantaged areas. The Kickz strategy combines the prospect of top quality football coaching, cup competitions and leagues alongside a range of activities for young people who want to get involved.
Working within local, regional and national networks, the person will initially be expected to develop the Stoke City Kickz Project, with a longer term strategy to develop initiatives that compliment our Social Inclusion development. This work includes working with young people who are at risk of becoming Not in Employment, Education and Training and who are currently Not in Employment, Education and Training.
Although coaching will be part of the role, a significant time will be spent on training and mentoring programmes and establishing the exit routes from community and education sports programmes into club opportunities. Good organisational skills are crucial as the post holder will be responsible for collecting and uploading all the monitoring and evaluation data.
Working with established partners through our steering group, as well as initiating new stakeholders, the role will require a vision and strategy to support its sustainability beyond the two years.
The Candidate:
Will have at least two years of experience of working with young people in a variety of settings and hold an appropriate qualification related to working with young people
Undertake an enhanced criminal records check, have a clean driving licence and be fully IT literate.
Working hours will be varied, involving regular evening and some weekend activities. Most importantly you will have the passion, vision and ability to develop the brand of Stoke City, whilst leading of the Kickz project, as well as supporting young people on a variety of projects delivered by Stoke City.
Working within a successful Social Inclusion department, your inter-personal skills, enthusiasm and energy will quickly earn respect of your colleagues and partners alike.
Knowledge of funding, managing finance and meeting deadlines will also be an essential part of the role.
