Funded by Sevenoaks District Council, West Kent Housing Association and Swanley Town Council, the play area was designed after public consultation.

The new site consists of new climbing poles, a large swing and new earth mounds.

Avril Hunter, Sevenoaks District Council's cabinet member with responsibility for playgrounds, said: "These new facilities will create a much more pleasant environment for the children of Swanley to play in, particularly as they have been involved in choosing them.

"It's exciting that young people have decided to make these improvements for themselves and the rest of their community."
