The Furzefield Centre, operated by sports trust Hertsmere Leisure, has achieved a score of 85 per cent in a recent Quest accreditation.
In 2000 the Furzefield Centre was the first leisure centre in the country to achieve 77%, which, at the time was the highest ever score given to any leisure centre since the QUEST quality marque had been created.
Jude Lewis, centre manager, said: "We are all so delighted. The team here deserve this grade; they work tirelessly to ensure that we give our customers the best experience possible.
"This not only means making sure that what customers see and experience is first class, it means ensuring that everything that goes on behind the scenes works seamlessly and everyone here pulls together to ensure that the two work well."
