Amusement Leisure Worldwide (ALW) is preparing to reveal its most recent waterpark development in Singapore during June.
The two-hectare site is located in the Downtown East resort and will be run by the Singapore National Trade Union Congress (NTUC).
The opening of the waterpark marks a major extension to existing retail and leisure facilities at the NTUC resort.
The park will feature four of the ALW’s waterslides; the Giant People Eater Family Raft, two Superflume Inner Tube rides and the company’s signature Sidewinder ride.
The new facilities have cost around S$16m (£5.2m) to build and are expected to attract around 700,000 visitors a year.
Canadian ALW worked closely with Singapore-based Melchers Project Management during the planning of the site – a partnership that has previously produced similar ventures in China, Brazil, Thailand and the US.
David Orr, ALW president, said: “The development of this project has been three years in the making and has been a very interactive process. We believe this park will be a great success and we are very proud to have been an integral part of the design process and now the supplier of the attractions.”
