Disney engineer appointed director of CERF

| The US Civil Engineering Research Foundation (CERF) has added Dr. Ben Schwegler Jr, vice president and chief scientist of Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI), to its board of directors.
Schwegler has been involved in nearly all of Disney’s construction projects over the past 21 years and currently directs the environment, materials and infrastructure group for the theme park operator.
He also created the 4D, a simulation-based Design Team, which developed the energy efficient models used at the Disney resorts.
