A new brain clinic has opened in London, which uses non-invasive brain stimulation to treat chronic pain, anxiety and burnout at the neurological source.

Naya Health uses non-invasive brain stimulation – Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)  – to treat the brain directly. This is a clinically validated, non-invasive therapy, recognised by NICE, and used for the treatment of depression globally for more than two decades. Real-world studies in depression show response rates of 66 to 80 per cent, compared to 30 to 50 per cent for antidepressant medication.

The approach is grounded in neuroplasticity – the brain’s ability to change and adapt. Neural circuits in the brain linked to pain, mood and cognitive function are stimulated by the targeted magnetic pulses which help to restore and optimise balanced brain activity over time. Rather than treating each condition in isolation, Naya Health’s approach targets the underlying neurological patterns that connect them.

Conditions which can be successfully treated include anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, chronic pain, fatigue, migraines, Long COVID, perimenopause and menopause symptoms, compulsive behaviours and impulse control, focus, memory and mental stamina.

Celebrity fans of the treatment include Gwyneth Paltrow, Serena Williams, Oprah Winfrey and Jim Carrey.

Naya Health’s lead clinical advisor, Dr Andy Franklyn-Miller, who is a consultant  physician and former Royal Navy Surgeon Commander, with experience across elite sport, including the All Blacks and GB Rowing, says the brain is the next frontier in health.

“Everything we experience physically, emotionally and cognitively is governed by neural function, and yet for most people that system has been completely inaccessible as a treatment target,” he says. “We can now stimulate specific brain circuits with precision, harness neuroplasticity, and create measurable, lasting change. That's not a future ambition, it's what we're doing clinically at Naya Health.”

Naya Health was founded by Dan and Emily Honeywell. Dan is a healthcare entrepreneur who previously scaled Zedsen to a £120m valuation and Emily is an investor and serial entrepreneur with a background spanning technology, biotech and consumer innovation, including advising the UK government.

They have experienced ADHD and anxiety and supported a family member with chronic fatigue and having found a lack of options for help created Naya to make modern neuroscience accessible.

“Too often, people are left managing symptoms without ever addressing what is actually driving them,” says Dan. “Our approach is about retraining how the brain functions and being able to measure that change over time.”

Emily says issues like burnout, anxiety, brain fog and chronic pain all have roots in the nervous system and can be treated by rewiring the brain. “I spent years believing my anxiety was a character flaw, before learning it was something that could be measured and treated at a circuit level,” she says. “Coming off medication and being able to experience life with less fear and greater optimism, directly facilitated the launch of Naya, and is proof of what becomes possible when you treat the brain directly.”

A proprietary system, NayaScore, tracks changes in brain function over time, enabling clinicians to personalise treatment and give patients a clear, data-led view of their progress.

Naya Health’s cross-disciplinary team comprises leading researchers, physicians, psychiatrists and specialist neuromodulation practitioners.

Sessions start from £350, with personalised treatment plans based on individual assessment.
